Applications:

1. Textile Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary Agent (Primary Industrial Use)  
Used as a carrier (promoting agent) for low-temperature dyeing of disperse dyes:  
- Enhances solubility and dissolution of disperse dyes, reduces dyeing activation energy, and improves dye uptake;  
- Applied to fabrics such as polyester, spandex, and acrylic fibers, enabling low-temperature dyeing and protecting heat-sensitive fibers;  
- Reduces dye consumption and wastewater discharge, recognized as an environmentally friendly dyeing auxiliary under REACH regulations.

2. Internal Plasticizer in Inks and Cosmetics  
- In the ink industry: serves as an internal plasticizer to improve the flexibility of film-forming resins;  
- In cosmetics (nail polish, makeup): permitted by the EU for use as a plasticizer and skin conditioner, enhancing film flexibility and preventing cracking of nail polish films.

3. Fine Organic Synthesis Intermediate (Laboratory & Chemical Synthesis)  
- Raw material for Gabriel synthesis: used to prepare high-purity n-butylamine while avoiding secondary and tertiary amine by-products;  
- Used in the synthesis of fine chemicals such as isoindolinones and quaternary ammonium salts;  
- Can be further nitrated to produce 4-nitro-N-butylphthalimide, an intermediate for dye synthesis.

4. Pharmaceutical and Research Applications (Laboratory Research, Not for Mass Production of Active Ingredients)  
- Intermediate in drug development for synthesizing phthalimide-based anti-inflammatory and antibacterial lead compounds;  
- Research applications: studying inhibition of bacterial and fungal biofilm formation—used exclusively in laboratory research, not as a final pharmaceutical product.

5. Agrochemical Intermediate  
Used as a raw material intermediate in the synthesis of certain herbicides and plant growth regulators.
