The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), also known as the "Purple Book," is a normative document published by the United Nations in 2003 to guide countries in establishing a unified system for the classification and labelling of chemicals. The UN GHS is revised every two years. The latest edition, GHS Revision 11, which incorporates the work results of the Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods and the GHS Subcommittee during the 2023-2024 biennium, has now been released.

This revision covers various aspects, including definitions, Chapter 2.3 on aerosols and pressurized chemicals, Chapter 3.4 on respiratory or skin sensitization, Chapter 4.2 on hazards to the ozone layer, and precautionary statements for acute toxicity in Annex 3, among others.
