As a key intermediate for levocetirizine (Levocetirizine), this compound is used for the synthesis of the third-generation antihistamine drug levocetirizine.
Levocetirizine effectively treats allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and skin allergy symptoms by selectively antagonizing H1 receptors, and has significantly reduced central sedative side effects compared to cetirizine.
